Hi, I am Adele Knight, although I am still getting used to my new name having only got married in August. Most people know me as Miss Ewan and there is still a little part of me that is desperately trying to hang on to the name I know and Love! After all, I’d had for 37 years.
I currently teach in Y5/6 with the rabble that are class 11 . Our wonderful Teaching Assistant, Mrs Manzano and I work our little darlings really hard but we hope they’ll agree it is well worth the effort. We are all very proud of the high standards of work we achieve in our class and have beautiful displays to prove it!
I am in my 7th year of teaching here at Linden but for the previous 7 years taught at other local primary schools. I have many roles at Linden, other than class teacher, including supporting Mrs Jarvis as Deputy Head. I am also responsible for Literacy across the school and the Curriculum. It’s hard work but I wouldn’t change a thing!
When I’m not whizzing around like a whirlwind at school, I am at home in Cheltenham with my husband Mike and our baby tortoise Leonardo! He lives in a tortoise table in our dining room and is really cute (that’s Leonardo not Mike!). Everyone that knows me would say my two favourite things are dancing and shopping. I dance around all the time, which goes back to the days when I used to dance competitively all over the country! Len Goodman off Strictly Come Dancing even used to be one of my judges.
I would say I am a very creative person and that is why I Love being at Linden. I am very proud of our school, the children in it and all the staff who make each day bright! |
